Are you a student feeling the stress & fatigue of constant media consumption? It can feel challenging to balance boundaries with your phone and the pull to stay informed during this time. Come to this session to: understand why it's so hard for us to put down our phones, learn more about mindfulness and meditation, understand the ways media consumption impacts our mental & emotional wellness, and understand the components of effective self-care.

Mindful Campus Practice: At Your Desk

In this guided meditation practice, you can allow your awareness to settle into your body's sensations to provide your mind and bodies the restorative moments they need in this virtual work environment. You can engage in this practice at your desk (whether you're working from home or on campus) or anywhere you can be seated!

We know that spaces for students and professionals to connect with others, learn, pause, & care for their emotional well-being are vital. Now, more than ever, it is important to take moments throughout each day to breathe and be mindful.

Students and employees are invited to discover the importance of mindfulness at the Koru Mindfulness series. During the series, participants will be introduced to the practice of mindfulness and learn several skills, including meditation for managing stress.

Our top priority is fostering wellness and engaging in best community health practices. In the spirit of Koru Mindfulness, please care for yourselves and your mental health.

Don't hesitate to contact swathip@vt.edu with any questions or concerns regarding mindfulness programming. We look forward to connecting with you soon!
