  • Are you interested in writing, learning from others, or simply meeting with fellow like-minded folks? Do you have a passion, but haven't taken the leap, have you written tons of poems, short stories, full novels, but never put them out to the world, or have you published countless works of your own? The Writer's Club is open to all VT faculty, staff, and students, with plans to meet once a month in a casual discussion! If you're interested, contact Corey Miles via email, mcmiles@vt.edu.
  • A Staff Writing Group was created to gather virtually to learn about writing techniques, support for writing used in our everyday jobs: emails, reference letters, articles, books and more.
    • The group meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from Noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom. The initial 15-20 minutes are used for introductions, guest speakers, and announcements.
    • Using the Pomodoro Technique, the group writes in their own environments in 20-minute segments, and then reconvenes with the group for a 5-minute break. This technique continues for the allotted time. Members are invited to join for the full 2-hours, or come and go as their schedule allows. All staff and AP Faculty are welcome.
