Amy Epperley, M.P.H./M.S.
Amy Shorter Epperley is the Senior Director of Hokie Wellness and oversees a team of well-being and public health experts focused on student and employee well-being. Amy was instrumental in the development and launching of Residential Well-being and provides leadership to employee wellness, The VT Recovery Community, alcohol and other drugs programs, sexual violence education and prevention, mental health initiatives, financial wellness, digital well-being, and health education. Amy joined Virginia Tech in 2013 after a 15-year career at Carilion Clinic in various community health, exercise, and wellness roles. She received her Bachelor of Science from Radford University. She also holds a Master of Science in Education and Health Promotion, as well as a Master of Public Health from Virginia Tech. Amy enjoys spending time with her husband Brad, and sons, Cole and Parker. She loves to be outside and really enjoys walking, hiking, gardening, traveling, and teaching and practicing yoga.
