Sarah Supplee
Sarah is the Substance Misuse Presentation Coordinator for Hokie Wellness. She offers one-on-one Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students (BASICS) sessions to help students explore safer strategies for substance use. Sarah also supports the IMPACT peer education team, facilitates workshops, and assists with educational outreach relating to alcohol and other drugs.
Sarah got her start in public health studying for her Bachelor of Science in Public Health at West Chester University with minors in Civic and Professional Leadership and Spanish. As an undergraduate student, Sarah also worked as a peer educator and found her passion for campus wellness. She then completed her Master of Public Health at Virginia Tech with dual concentrations in Community Health Promotion and Equity and Infectious Disease and a research focus on substance misuse. While studying for her master's degree, Sarah served as the Hokie Wellness Graduate Assistant before shifting to her current coordinator position.
Sarah’s passion for well-being shines through her holistic approach to health. She enjoys being active and exploring the region through hiking, camping, and road trips with friends.
