Stop Alcohol Poisoning

Call 911 immediately if any of the following symptoms are present:

  • Respiration is less than 8 breaths per minute
  • Breathing is irregular
  • No Pain Response — No Response to a shoulder pinch
  • Unconsciousness — If you cannot wake the person
  • Vomiting while asleep, unconscious, or repeatedly
  • You Are Worried at all about the state they are in

Your friend may need more than just time to sleep it off. They may have injured themselves in a fall, drank more than you know, combined alcohol with other drugs, or have another unknown medical problem. Keep checking for signs of alcohol poisoning.
