Cathy Kropff, M.S., CWWS

Cathy Kropff received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Sport Management/Marketing from The State University of New York College at Cortland and a Master's of Education in Public Health Administration from Virginia Tech. Cathy is a National Wellness Institute Certified Worksite Wellness Specialist (CWWS) as well as a Wellcoaches Certified Health and Wellness Coach. She has also obtained multiple Federal Emergency Management Agency certifications. Cathy started her Virginia Tech career in 2004 as the marketing manager for the Department of Recreational Sports. While in her Recreational Sports role, Cathy was a member of the National Association of Intramural Recreational Sports (NIRSA) and served as chair for the NIRSA Marketing Institute for four years. Cathy along with co-worker Ali Arner-Cross were the 2008-2009 recipients of the Virginia Tech Division of Student Affairs Partnership Award for the implementation of the inaugural 3.2 Run in Remembrance. In 2015, Cathy received the Virginia Tech Administrative Services Customer Service award for the Department of Human Resources. Prior to Virginia Tech, Cathy worked for the New York Yankees Double AA Affiliate in Albany, N.Y. and Norwich, C.T. as the Director of Publications and Ticket Sales followed by a career at ESPN's Wide World of Sports as the Director of Guest Services. While in Florida, Cathy received the prestigious Walt Disney World Partners in Excellence Award in 1998. Cathy enjoys running, reading, hiking, racquetball, volleyball, painting, and spending time with family and friends.
