Chelsea J. Cleary, M.S.

Sexual Violence Prevention Specialist

Chelsea (pronouns she/they) currently serves as the Sexual Violence Prevention Specialist in Hokie Wellness. Chelsea has a dual B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy from SUNY Oneonta where she concentrated most of her research in topics of gender, ethics & law and queer studies. Chelsea also has a M.S. in Sustainable Communities from Binghamton University where she concentrated her research on neighborhood environments, affordable housing, and diversity in CLT (community land trusts) leadership teams. Chelsea has worked in a variety of victim services as a rape crisis counselor, victim advocate and IPV (interpersonal violence) prevention trainer before coming to Hokie Wellness. Chelsea has a deep passion for bystander intervention and helping individuals make their spaces and communities safer & inclusive
