Hokie Wellness partners with the Masters of Public Health program on the Virginia Tech campus. Many students complete their practicum and capstone projects with Hokie Wellness to gain an understanding of employee wellness promotion and programming.
The Center for Public Health Practice and Research works with Hokie Wellness to develop annual program strategy and evaluation. The two departments also collaborate on a variety of community-based projects.
The Office of Emergency Management and Hokie Wellness partner on a variety of emergency preparedness initiatives to enhance the university’s disaster mental health response. Hokie Wellness personnel have completed the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) trainings necessary to assist with natural and man-made disasters in a university setting.
Hokie Wellness partners with Recreational Sports, a division of Student Affairs, in order to help promote the recreational services available to employees and their families.
