Tobacco use is the number one source of preventable illness and death in the United States, according the American Cancer Society. The university is committed to helping employees maintain healthy lifestyles and provides access to smoking cessation programs to help employees quit tobacco.

Quit Now Virginia

Funded by the Virginia Department of Health’s Tobacco Use Control Project, Quit Now Virginia is the commonwealth’s smoking cessation campaign. The program, which is free to eligible participants, is designed to help individuals learn how to quit tobacco through education and coaching.
