Hokie Wellness for Students has offered workshops about various health concerns for more than 25 years. These workshops can be used by faculty members as a requirement for their classes or as extra-credit; by RA's and organization leaders for thier members; by individual students who have been referred by their health care provider; or students who would like to learn more about different aspects of their health.
These workshops are taught and designed by our health educators and members of our Health Education & Awareness Team (HEAT). Each workshop is consistently being evaluated for appeal and effectiveness to deliver the most accurate information. The workshops are fun and interactive.
Attendees are required to register online for the workshop they wish to attend. In order to make efficient use of our limited resources, and because all of our programs are interactive and require a minimum number of people to be effective, we don't offer (most) workshops unless we have at least 15 people registered. It is important to schedule and register for workshops early in the semester, because we have high demand for them.
A list of the workshops we offer is either the RIGHT SIDEBAR or BELOW, depending on what device you are using now.
Healthy Hokie Workshops help you Practice the Keystone Experience by exploring two of the Aspirations for Student Learning. You can reflect on your health and well-being by asking yourself...
- How do I pursue self-understanding and integrity?
- How do I commit to unwavering curiosity?
