Laurie Fritsch holds a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from Virginia Tech, where she continued on to receive her master’s degree in health and physical education. After completing graduate school, she began working at Schiffert Health Center.

Laurie holds several certifications including being a certified health education specialist through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, INC; a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association; a certified in basic life support for healthcare provides (CPR/AED) through the American Heart Association; and a certified tobacco treatment specialist through the Mayo Clinic.

Her professional affiliations include being a member of the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing and the Bacchus Network.
